MetaMorphosis is an educational website about metoidioplasty, a type of gender-affirming genital surgery. Metoidioplasty (aka “meta”) is a highly-customizable procedure that creates a penis using clitoris tissue, and may or may not involve creation of a scrotum, removal of the vagina, and lengthening of the urethra. This variety of outcomes will be visualized on this website.
Me and my project partner, Grace Gibson, are developing a comprehensive guide to the surgical journey. MetaMorphosis will address the pre-, intra-, and post-operative stages of meta, with a deep dive into surgical outcomes, recovery, and complications. Our primary goal is to help trans and nonbinary people navigate the complexities of this surgery.
This project is in the research phase.
